Booker & Best Ltd have taken on apprentices for over 20 years now, many of whom completed their training and became valued employees of the company. We are therefore proud to announce that Steven Kemp has been taking part in the SPARKS National apprentice of the year competition. He has got experience of all aspects of the works the company undertake, from Housing Association repairs and maintenance, installation works on NHS sites, and a variety of other refurbishment and upgrade works that the company undertake.
Paul Ashby, who is Steve's JTL Training Officer said "He won the regional heat against some very strong competition. He did this by scoring the highest marks ever in the history of the competition. I believe he only dropped 3 or 4 marks over the whole test, and scored the first ever 100% in the written test at the end. This is a very good indicator of the quality and skill that Booker and Best are instilling in their apprentices. I wish Steve well in the National finals."
Booker & Best Ltd have a strong history of training, and especially with the electrical trade as that is how the company started over 28 years ago, and we too wish Steve success to become the overall National winner.
